Quick Introduction

Hey, welcome to my blog! Here's a quick introduction.

Im SKY-LESS, a Minecraft content creator. I've been focusing a lot recently on modded content and shorts, but I really want to expand into new things. I have a lot of awesome plans in mind, so stay tuned. You didn't think I would just post Youtube shorts, right?

Anyways, I figured a blog would be a good spot to clear things up, and also give my thoughts on some things. I feel like my channel is... a bit underwhelming to say the least. I've been posting for about 2 months, and although my channel is doing well, I know personally I can make better content. At heart, I'm a storyteller. I've grown up watching a lot of big projects and creators, like the Lifesteal SMP, or Parkour Civilization, just to name a few.

I've been struggling the past couple months with imposter syndrome. I've stopped uploading as frequently, but now I'm back on track. I've decided to trust my heart and my instincts rather than the numbers Youtube shows me. Yeah, I get it, people like repetitive and addicting Youtube shorts, but I'm meant for more than that. I've thought long and hard about the direction I need to take my channel in, so I'm going to making some small changes.

First, I'm uploading the content I want to make. Most of the time that content is what everyone else wants as well, but don't be surprised if I upload a different video from time to time.

Next, I'm gonna be working with some other creators. if you've noticed, my voice has yet to appear on my channel. I've tried before, there's a couple unlisted videos almost no one has watched. It's been a big anxiety of mine, but I'm doing my best to get over it. I've got a ton of cool things planned that I think everyone will enjoy.

I've also refined my channel philosophy a lot, and I'm going to be a lot more intentional with my posting. For now, the shorts will continue until I get monetized. Once I'm monetized, I'll start posting some awesome stuff.

Anyways, here's a bit more on the background of the channel, and me as a person. I started the channel on a whim one day, around when Create: Aeronautics released. I've been having soooo much fun with this mod, it's become my entire channel identity. I've enjoyed a lot of other Minecraft content, which is why it's important I start uploading content on other mods I enjoy. Anyways, my channel has been growing, and I have some well performing videos.

I'm a college student as well. I'm lucky enough to have scholarships, so my schooling is more than paid for. Still, I need income. I've always Hated the idea of a normal job. They're so stressful, and for what? minimum wage? Yeah, no thanks. I think everyone can agree with me when I say if I can do anything other than a crappy job, I'd take it. So that's what my Youtube channel is, at least in part.

I also love telling and writing stories. I've had a lot of things tucked away in my notes, but I've never really had the outlet I need to make them a reality. I have some plans, but they're pretty far off in the future.

Oh right, I guess some more stuff about me, I really like programming and such. I do a bit of homelabbing, and that's actually where I'm hosting this blog site. I use docker a ton, and I really like chicken salad sandwiches. I'm really also into photography, so once I'm monetized my first purchase is gonna be a Fuji XT30 III. I'll probably make another site where I post my photography stuff, but for now that's separate from my channel.

Anyways, I guess that's my first post, I know, a bit underwhelming. But we all gotta start somewhere, right? I'll try not to forget about my blog, and post here whenever I can.
